Meditate like the moon, consistently and calmly

The moon is steadfast and calm

When I meditate, I want to be like the moon, consistently there and calm.

This morning, I looked out my window and saw the moon, a beautiful bright orb glowing thru the darkness.  The moon is like a beacon of hope, something constant that shines its light no matter what is happening on earth.  My side of the earth can be in darkness or light – but the moon keeps shining.  It is comforting to see something so beautiful and constant in the sky.  I almost feel the round shape and the energy of the light.  I follow the light making slivers through my dark space.

The Moon’s is constant

Throughout the millennia, the moon has been shining up in the sky. Moonlight must have been a beacon of hope for those who came before me who walked a spiritual path. Ancient yogis probably meditated on the moon and its power and energy.  Like the moon’s constant presence, ancient yogis kept meditating no matter what.  Yogis kept meditating through all the changes in their world; thru feast, famine, good weather, bad weather, wars, peace, and the variety of human behavior.

Meditate Consistently Like the Moon

I desire that my meditation practice is consistent, just like the moon’s presence. No matter what is happening in my life, no matter what challenges and troubles arise, I want to keep meditating. Just as meditation calms my mind and body, it also connects me to something greater, which in HeartMath we call the ‘field’.  The field is that great body of energy that lies outside of me but connects me with everything else in the universe.

Just as the moon seems to float up in the sky, I want to float above the stresses and strains of daily life. The moon inspires me to rise above the physical plane.  Feeling moonlight inspires me to continue with my meditation practice.  Raising my consciousness helps me feel the vibration of the field of energy that surrounds all of us. I want to stay plugged into that energy field which sustains me.

HeartMath Helps Me Meditate Like the Moon

Oh, how I want to keep my meditation practice going.  HeartMath helps me remain calm and stay connected to the field.  My Inner Balance device monitors my heart coherence so that I know how coordinated my heart and brain are. By better coordinating my heart and brain, I can connect to the field.  Heart coherence is also vital to good health and to having a lot of energy that is effective. I love feeling connected to the field.

When I am connected to the field, I feel peace and calm.  I feel less anxious – about my own internal workings and about what is happening in the external environment.  There are many things and events that can make me feel anxious, but I don’t want to live in that world of constant worry and anxiety.

I want to feel like the moon – constant, bright, following its path around the earth, and always sending out its energy.  I pray for the strength of the moon to quell my anxiety, my fear, and to let me walk in harmony and strength.  HeartMath practices help me achieve that goal.  Try this easy HeartMath practice.
